From styling, to session day, to designing custom artwork for your home, I take care of every detail—so you can relax, soak in the moment, and leave with tangible memories that will last a lifetime.

Here’s what you can expect from your luxury newborn portrait experience at Lucky Foot Photography:

Step 1: Consultation & Booking

The experience starts with a simple inquiry through my website. From there, I’ll personally give you a call so we can talk through a few details—your vision, your due date, and any special elements you’d love to include.

Next, you’ll come into my Yucca Valley studio for a consultation and planning session, where we’ll go over everything you need to know for your session. This is when you’ll officially book your session with a signed contract and session fee.

Once booked, you’ll receive my Welcome Guide, filled with everything you need to prepare, including wardrobe styling assistance to help you select timeless outfits for you and your family. Prior to your session, I’ll also send you a final questionnaire after your baby’s birth to ensure everything is tailored to your little one’s needs.

Special Touch: Every session includes access to my exclusive client closet for post-partum mamas. I also offer hair and makeup services for an additional cost or can provide trusted recommendations to help you feel your absolute best for your session.

Step 2: Stress-Free, Baby-Led Sessions

Newborn sessions at Lucky Foot Photography are completely baby-led—meaning we move at your little one’s pace, without rushing or forcing poses.

Session Length:

Newborn sessions typically last anywhere from 1 to 5 hours, giving us the flexibility to allow for feeding breaks, soothing time, and plenty of snuggles.

Studio Comforts:

My boutique Yucca Valley studio is designed with new parents in mind. You’ll find:

Comfortable seating & blankets so you can relax
Snacks & drinks (both hot and cold) to keep you refreshed
Play area stocked with toys for older siblings
Postpartum toiletries in the bathroom for added comfort
Diapers and wipes on hand in case anything is forgotten

A Truly Hands-Free Experience:

Need a break? I’ll handle diaper changes and feedings if you’d like to sit back and just enjoy watching your little one be photographed.

Clean & Safe Environment:

Your baby’s safety is my top priority. Everything in the studio is cleaned and sanitized between sessions, I wash and sanitize my hands frequently, and if preferred, I am happy to wear a mask for your comfort.

What You Need to Bring:

The studio is fully stocked with beautiful wraps, props, and accessories, so all you need to bring is any special mementos you’d like to include in your baby’s portraits.

Step 3: Your Ordering Appointment

Two weeks after your session, you’ll return for a personalized ordering appointment, where you’ll see your beautiful images for the first time.

Our print-based studio specializes in heirloom-quality albums, print collections, and wall art, ensuring your baby’s first portraits become a cherished part of your home—not just a file on a hard drive.

Mock-Ups for Your Home:

One of the most unique parts of the experience? I’ll mock up your chosen images on your very own walls, so you can see exactly how your portraits will look at the perfect size and scale for your space.

Special Touch: Every order is carefully customized, designed, and handcrafted, ensuring your family has tangible memories that will last for generations.
